I’ve been in the truck rental business for over 20 years. One of the most important parts of the business is having well maintained trucks. So in 2012 I decided to start Independent Service Co and bring my mechanical knowledge and background to the forefront. Our mechanics have over 50 years combined experience and are experts in their field of diesel and auto repair. No matter if you bring us your work truck or your personal auto, we will work diligently to get the service or repair work done and get you back on the road.

Stay ahead of any problems by allowing our team to inspect your commercial vehicle during routine services. A well maintained commercial truck will last a long time. Parts can wear out and need to be replaced in a timely manner. Otherwise you may not get the full benefit of your investment. These days many truck owners carry some sort of code reader. These are great for clearing phantom and random codes! But they don’t fix real problems when they exist.

We are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Will I get my vehicle back the same day?
Maybe. It depends on your appointment time and what services we are providing. We do our best to communicate the timeline with you at check in or during the day once we have begun working on your
vehicle.
Do you provide roadside assistance?
We do have limited roadside mobile mechanic services. If we are unable to take care of the whole issue wherever you broke down, we will do our best to get your vehicle drivable so it can make it to our shop to finish the work. If that doesn’t work, we can recommend the right tow company for your type of
vehicle.
Do you have 24/7 roadside assistance?
No. We provide mobile mechanic services during our regular business hours. Any calls after hours, may not be returned until the following business day.
Is there a charge for travel for mobile mechanic services?
Yes. We charge from the time the mechanic leaves our shop.
Can I provide my own parts?
You can with approval from the service manager. Not an engine or major component.
Do you have a warranty?
Yes! Parts are one year from installation. Labor warranty is 90 days. We do not provide a warranty on
parts purchased from somewhere else or labor for parts you provide or are provided on your behalf.
Is there a charge to inspect or diagnose my vehicle?
Yes! Depending on the reason for the inspection and type of inspection most will last 1-2 hours and will
come with a list of any problems found and test results.
I heard about a new law in California requiring testing for some types of diesel trucks. Do you do clean truck/emissions testing?
Yes! We are an authorized CARB testing provider. This test is for non-exempted diesel vehicles 14,001 GVW and over. Reporting began to phase in January 2023 with testing being required beginning on July
1,2024.
In brief this means
Beginning July 1, 2024- A Clean truck check emissions test will be required within 90 days of DMV registration renewals that are due July 1 2024 or later. Failure to do so will result in your registration being denied by DMV and fines may be assessed. Your vehicle will not be legal to drive on public roads or highways.More phases are planned to begin after 2024
